Leona stays away from the Brit Awards

The Brit Awards was littered with music stars but there was one singer who was very much missing.

Although she has performed at the Brits before, Leona Lewis stayed away this year, despite rumours she was in the country.

Calvin Harris reckons she should have made the effort: "I think she still should've came. She's had a great year. I mean I'm not even nominated and I'm here. What am I dong here? I'm just basking in the fact that I'm alive. Pathetic. She should be here."

There has also been plenty of speculation she stayed away on purpose after only picking up a nod for Best Single, which went to Girls Aloud.

Fellow X Factor winner Alexandra Burke says Lewis should have been nominated for more.

"As my opinion always stays the same, I think Leona should have won Brits and Grammys a long, long time ago," Burke said.

Despite all the rumours, Estelle reckons she was probably just busy: "I mean everything's everything, and she's probably just working on a new album, so hey."
